So far, there isn’t much to see but I hope to be adding plenty of interesting stories and tidbits as time goes on.
I had the site set up once, then something went terribly wrong and I ended up having to start over. I was recoding some files and think I broke something or corrupted the database…so I had to start over. It still has a few issues, but I’m slowly working them out. Most of them have to do with browser compatibility. I use Chrome or Firefox most of the time so I want to make sure everything on the front end and the back end works as it should in those browsers. Its kinda funny that some things work fine in IE and some things work in Chrome and Firefox, but not everything works in all three browsers, so I have my work cut out for me.
I am also considering trying to turn the Dream Place template, which I absolutely love, into a 3-column layout at some point so I can put all my banners in one column and the site navigation and text links in another, but that may be a while. It’s been too long since I did much coding in php and css, so I’m gonna have to work that out over time.
I also want to figure out how to incorporate some of the custom fields into my posts. I think that too is going to require some recoding of the template. I used to love coding, but lately, it seems to be more of a chore than a joy, so I don’t know when I will get all this incorporated into the blog. I guess I will just have to wait until the mood strikes and then get busy on fixing all the issues I want to get worked out. Eventually it will be nice to be able to set Mood, Currently Playing, Currently Reading, Currently Listening To and what not on each post with a few clicks instead of having to type it all out.
